Hello,
I'm Claire Anne
Clan began with an idea of kinship. Of building something together, with trust. It's how I want to work, and what I want a brand to do. A good brand gives people something to belong to.
I started as an intern in a hospitality design studio and left as lead designer. Since then I've worked across commercial property, defence, housing and the public sector, sometimes directly and sometimes alongside other studios.

Character doesn't have to be loud
I love brands that are felt before they're noticed. Most of what I make gets seen in passing: a menu in low light, a sign in full sun, a brochure handed across a table. Nobody stops to study it. It has to land in the moment or not at all.
Understanding brand culture is what makes it land: the people behind it, how they talk, what they care about. My work is translating that culture into character.
A series of quiet decisions, mostly. Proportion, tone, the second colour you take out. The simplicity is deliberate, shaped by what the brand needs rather than minimalism for effect.
